I am still testing this software for use for storing and searching for a large number of pdf files. It appears to be similar to DevonThink but simpler apparently storing its classification information within each of the pdf files that it places in the applications folder in the users library. This reduces overheads compared with DevonThink and like DevonThink all files are accessible through Finder should there ever be a program crash. The price for the two programs is similar but I tempted towards JournalX for its simplicity and clean interface.

Is another notepad application needed especially when there are already such excellent choices like Hog Bay Notebook and Devon Note? Plus, JournalX looks and behaves much like EZ Note X released back in March. It has the same Finder integration and but with many less features than EZ Note.
