It really makes a big difference, displaying them properly.
I never even knew until I tried this program.
I hope they add a nice icon, and an icns file so nfo files will have nice icons in the finder!

Can someone post a screencap of what is so special about how this program renders .nfo files? TextEdit seems to do a fine job for me, and it's moronically simple to associate .nfo, .diz, or any other text file to TextEdit.

1) NFOViewer is now at ver 0.2 direct from developer site (dt: 11/8/05)
2) It requires you to download and install a TrueType font in order for it to work. The Read Me has the info on that.
3) NFOViewer is mostly useful for those .nfo and .diz files that seem to have strange characters, like people did to make images with character-based printers back in the computing dark ages ;-). NFOViewer translates those into gray-scale charactercell blocked images.
Otherwise, for plain text .nfo files, TextEdit works fine.
