NFOViewer now at 0.2 from dev site - Version: 0.1, 11/15/2006 07:06PM PST

FYI -
1) NFOViewer is now at ver 0.2 direct from developer site (dt: 11/8/05)
2) It requires you to download and install a TrueType font in order for it to work. The Read Me has the info on that.
3) NFOViewer is mostly useful for those .nfo and .diz files that seem to have strange characters, like people did to make images with character-based printers back in the computing dark ages ;-). NFOViewer translates those into gray-scale charactercell blocked images.
Otherwise, for plain text .nfo files, TextEdit works fine.

It really makes a big difference, displaying them properly.
I never even knew until I tried this program.
I hope they add a nice icon, and an icns file so nfo files will have nice icons in the finder!

This little gem is awesome!
You no longer have to download profontwindows, because it is embedded in the app.
Also the app has a groovy icon, as well as a *censored*in icns file so your nfo files can look nice in the Finder.
I made a new webpage so everybody can see some nice screenshots.
The first page shows several nfo files, viewed in TextEdit.app vs. NFO Viewer.
At the bottom is a link to another page, where a rather simple but nice ascii art work is compared as it is displayed in a plethora of viewing methods.
some nfo files for ya
