Product Description:

CMBEASY is a software package for calculating the evolution of density fluctuations in the universe. Most notably, the Cosmic Microwave Background temperature anisotropies. It features: * Fully object oriented code * Simple data handling using Spline objects * Gauge invariant & synchronous gauge perturbations * Arbitrary mixing of adiabatic or isocurvature initial conditions * CDM Powerspectrum can be output at arbitrary time or wavenumber * Full quintessence support: o Arbitray equation of state class o Inverse power law and exponential potential class o Leaping kinetic term and crossover quintessence class * Varying fine structure constant support * AnalyzeThis class compares models to CMB, SNe Ia and LSS data * Generic parallel Monte Carlo driver included * Browsable auto generated online documentation * Graphical user interface featuring ... o A powerful plot-widget o Printing and saving of curves o Handling of 2-D and 1-D marginalized likelihoods from Monte Carlo o Powerful printing engine for likelihood contours o Axis label can be input in latex syntax (not 100% perfect but very useful) o Two different methods to get the 2-D likelihood contours: easy to crosscheck for disconnected regions

CMBEASY Troubleshooting ReportTypo in the assignment of variables description - Version: 4.1, 10/31/2005 09:21AM PST

slartibart
gentle persons,

there is a error in the description on how to assign the variables needed by CMBEASY. Please use the correct command:

setenv CMBEASYDIR /Applications/cmbeasyv41/bin

when you use tcsh; use

export CMBEASYDIR=/Applications/cmbeasyv41/bin

when on bash. Please use the same path assignment when editing environment.plist as described in the included ReadMe.

This is just what I needed for the final calculations of my EM Time Machine. I've got it all built and did some tests but needed to align my calculations to locate the natural EM hot spots to help alleviate a one way trip.
