Product Description:

photo Drop is a small utility that creates customized, drag-and-drop droplets that turn the tedious task of modifying multiple images (and folders of images) into a simple drag-and-drop operation. Using photo Drop, a droplet can be created in just seconds that can resize an image to new dimensions, convert the original image to a new format, rotate the image, modify the compression, and more...

What's new in this version:

  • Added a warning about the destructive nature of droplets
  • Added ability to use 'Best' compression when modifying the quality of images
  • Added built in version checking to check for the latest versions
  • No longer scales photos upwards when the value for 'Resample to Max Dimension' is larger than either the images width or height
  • Images retain the original created date
  • Italian localization kindly provided by Lorenzo Maria dell'Uva

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9

photo Drop ReviewMost Awesome!!! - Version: 1.01, 11/8/2007 12:18PM PST

What I love about Photo Drop is that you can configure droplets and then distribute them to others to perform actions on images with zero effort.

This product is great if you are an IT person supporting clueless users. Set it and forget it. All they have to do is drop their folders of images over the droplet icon.

Negatives?
Hardly any.
I wish the program had numerical quality values for JPG compression instead of normal, default etc
I wish it worked in Leopard
I wish the developer responded to questions/suggestions

photo Drop ReviewBest batch software I've ever used - Version: 1.01, 5/14/2006 05:15AM PST

This app is fantastic. Everytime a use software for batching I spend more time understanding how to use it and making it work than it would doing what ever I wanted to do manually. The time it took me from opening this application until having all my images the way I wanted was like 2 minutes. Usability and functionality at it's best!
