Product Description:

BosworthToller is a computer version of the Bosworth-Toller Anglo-Saxon Dictionary. This Old English Dictionary is out of print, hard to find, and expensive. It's also bulky and hard to look up words in.

This program lets you search the dictionary by entering in substrings and typing in the weird anglo saxon characters by their modern equivalents, and so it's faster and easier to use than the physical version, or even the online version.

What's new in this version:

  • removed duplicates in word list.
  • made history buttons work correctly.
  • made search menu work correctly.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9
  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS 10.2 or higher

The only Anglo Saxon words I'm familiar with can't be found here....why??? However,it is an invaluable reference guide.

Yesterday I was jobless. Today I have a lucrative contract from a major publishing house to begin work on a new annotated translation of The Martyrdom of Ælfheah, with promises of more work to come. Neverbefore has a software release had such a profound effect on my life. Thank you Bosworth Toller and thank you David Finucane. God ge segnian.

I don't know what it is or how to read it, but it's freaky enough to hang on to. Maybe someone will mistake me for being smart. Don't laugh, you never know.
