MP3 Sherlock ReviewPlease add folder scan support on hard drives - Version: 1.0b7, 1/5/2006 07:29PM PST

TallTxn
Many users would like the ability to also scan folders on hard drives.

This is a great program but not useful for mp3's on hard drives.

The name of this app is misspelled as "Serlock" in the posted screenshot of the app itself...gotta make you wonder about the code!

I downloaded this beta to test it out as I don't own an iPod (but I wish I did!) and I have my music scattered across many discs. MP3 Sherlock catalogs the music portions of my numerous discs quickly and accurately (it had no problem reading data discs that had other stuff besides music on them) and it even allowed me to edit the names of the discs in the column on the left hand side (since I discovered I was rather sloppy about naming the discs properly--I had more discs labeled "Music, Movies & Documents" than I cared to think about). I didn't try creating samples but it is a great option to have just in case you might not be sure about the song you're looking for and need to listen to it. It is a great little app that more than meets my needs for cataloging my music, and since it is a beta, it's free for now. What more could I ask for?
