Hi,
I have used this app for my radio. I find it is difficult to use. It is also difficult to customise it.
What really annoys me is when the computer makes a back up of its files on a external HD, Megaseg start to have problems: music stop playing for a while then start again or it stop working and the only way to get out of this situation is to force it to quit and run it again.

I actually think this is a very good application. It does almost everything it claims. It is stable and has some very good features. My issue is that the support is bad. I had been in touch with the customer support (writer) who brushed me and my issue off and I have not seen a new version since... well look for your self... a year and a half. If you plan to use this application professionally, I advice you consider some of the other apps out there. Oh, I would also like to mention I feel I was ripped off due to the high price. these other apps only cost 1/4 of what this one charges. I thought I was going to get more for my buck, but I was fooled.

The best thing about Megaseg is it works. Versatile, easy to use, reliable.
I have used it to DJ at 5 venues a week for a few years now without a glitch and each version adds new unmissable features.
Not the cheapest, but after buying my 3rd license today, well worth the money!

I've been working in commercial terrestrial and now satellite radio for well over a decade and I'm very impressed with MegaSeg. In a market segment dominated by PC-only software (Selector, Music Master, etc.) only MegaSeg has the power and versatility to get the job done on the Mac. This is a professional grade tool which allows you to schedule and broadcast a real radio station - even from a PowerBook (or, I guess, your MacBook these days).
I hope they keep on updating and improving this program because if they do I'll certainly keep on using it. For the Macintosh platform nothing else can touch it. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about internet or low power FM broadcasting.

As a former soundman for bands, I found this very cool. It's out of reach in cost for the everyday Joe. I guess there's enough radio stations and DJ's to make the bucks on it. Great app.
MegaSeg is a wonderful product

We've been using MegaSeg since our Low Power FM station (WBCR-LP Great Barrington 97.7 FM) started broadcasting. It fills in the gaps between live programming, maintains a schedule of prerecorded shows, and has tons of features. $199 is a bargain. Also, the company is very responsive to questions.

It does the job...how about network features?

Unlike a lot of people who use this program for DJing at a parties or clubs, we use it at Radio K (www.radiok.org) for playing our spots and whips during the day, and our computer DJ at night when nobody is around. We've used it for about 2 years now, and it gets better with every update. Jason actually answers the phone during the day and is great at answering questions over the phone, and also with the new feature of automatic feedback from within the program.
I only hope that a future update will make it easier to use on a network, where different computers can be used to update a computer that actually uses it. This would have to include a different level of licensing I think.

Note, it does support the "Apple Lossless" codec and uncompressed AIFF formats. MegaSeg can import and play any file QuickTime supports. QuickTime is also extendable by Plug-in codecs, for example an Ogg plug-in was developed by a 3rd party.
- Don't have automatic bpm detetctor
- Can't mix Videos, don't have transitiosn fxs
- Don't have the option to administer remote for make playlist in other computer and them send a load in master Megaseg Mac.
- Nothing about Digital Signage
- Slow mail support.
Megaseg can be a pro Software with more development, but i believe with the passage of time it could die, with as much competition outside
