Product Description:

TeamSpeak is a Voice over IP program used by alot of gamers to communicate with each other with voice. The TeamSpeak client is available for Windows and Linux users and an official Mac client has been announced more than 1 year ago but there is still no Mac client as of today..

So I was tired of waiting and seeing Mac users being left in the dark and not supported by not having a client, up until now ofcourse because (you probably already guessed it) TeamSpeex is a TeamSpeak client for Mac OS X!

I named it TeamSpeex because it only supports the Speex codec. It is fully compatible with existing TeamSpeak servers, and with PC and Linux users.

What's new in this version:

Compiled as a universal binary.

Overall good, but there are a few things that could certainly be added. For example, I get NO audible notification of "member joined' or "member left". These are quite nice features to have, since I have no way of knowing how many people have come and gone while I'm in game. These are the main features I would like to see added. Thanks for taking the time to write this app for the Mac, I get the feeling the TS windows team may have taken a lot longer to port this; as with most Mac ports its a long series of "working on it", "expected by x/x/xx", delay after delay......so Thanks, its was a very nice job on this.

TeamSpeex Troubleshooting ReportMissing codec - Version: 1.0beta-r406, 7/14/2006 08:24AM PST

The program works so far... too bad I can't use it on my clan's TS server due to codec problems:

This channel uses an unsupported codec: GSM 16.4 Kbit

You will not be able to hear or send voice until the channel codec is set to a Speex codec


Any advice or does it simply not work with the server? Thanks in advance!
