Product Description:

Img2icns is a simple, quick application to convert images to icons or icons to images, keeping them orderly filed and ready to use. Creating Icon can't be easier. Creating an icon is just as easy as drag'n'dropping one or more images on to Img2icns and choosing an export format--the same goes for creating images from icons. We are currently offering a free lite version and a 12,90$ pro version. Here some Img2icns highlights: Convert all Mac OS X-supported image formats, including Illustrator and Photoshop files; Export icons as .icns files, Finder folders, iPhone icons, or Favicon Web icons. Attach icons to any file by a simple drag'n'drop. Extract and export icons into images from any file. Keep all icons ready at hand in the History. Img2icns can run on any Mac with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or higher.

What's new in this version:

Favicon are now in .ico format, this address an incompatibility with Internet Explorer 7 or greater.
Image export now have a slider for setting the size of the images (also features in history export).
Favicon and iPhone icon are now named with the standard names (favico.ico and apple-touch-icon.png).
Badge menu is now more easy to spot, and wont appear if there is only one image.
Correct a bug that afflicted folder icons when created from png (generation of black 48x48 icons).
Added Italian, German, Japanese and Chinese translation.

v1.0 was a bit buggy on my G5, but this v1.1 is just right :) Great little app! It does everything I need under the freeware license. Additional features are available for the paid/registered version.

Saw this on an RSS feed, downloaded, installed and had new icons in the space of 2 minutes. Easiest app I think I've ever used. I was using Candy Bar, but didn't really need 90% of it's functionality. This app also creates decent size ICNS images. Transparency is correct (from Fireworks PNG files). I'm happily going to pay the money to unlock the favicon features (I know there are free online apps for this, but I'm a sucker for helping out developers of inexpensive, quality software).

Can't comment on stability yet - too early to know - but I'm very impressed so far.

Is this now Freeware as it says or does it cost the price it says?
Why can't people here get the terms Freeware, Shareware, Donationware right!
