CoverFlow CommentaryOld Coverflow, and New iTunes - Version: 1.997, 9/16/2006 10:39AM PST

nlevy1_dotmac
Does anyone know how to transfer all the carefully pulled together images in old Coverflow to the iTunes version? I realise that they are now compressed in a CoverFlow format, so where do I go from here.

Thanks

CoverFlow CommentaryBotheration! - Version: 1.997, 9/13/2006 11:06AM PST

SA Hunter

Congrats to you...

but...

Grrr....

Apple have really bug*ered this lovely app up!
No longer can you hunt for add artwork (unless you use GimmeSomeTune - even with GST you can't scan and paste your own CD covers as you could with Coverflow).

Where has the beautiful swinging animation gone?

I was hoping there would have been an option to make Coverflow an active embedded desktop option...no hope of that now.

Oh well, it's still better than the rubbish MS offering in media player...just.

Grrr.

... I was wondering why such a great piece of software with such potential seemed to come to a halt ... now we all know! This is the best possible outcome.

CoverFlow CommentarySeen it around still? - Version: 1.997, 9/12/2006 02:03PM PST

I really liked the standalone version and would love to still have it, didn't see this last quick update without the expiry date. Anyone seen this last version hosted anywhere?

Cheers, aj.

When I first saw iTunes 7, I was worried Apple just ripped you off (name and all!). I'm glad to see that wasn't the case. Congratulations on getting "assimilated"!

Seems like Apple liked it so much they bought it and put it in iTunes 7.

CoverFlow ReviewCool! - Version: 1.997, 9/12/2006 03:12AM PST

good:
Really cool graphic animation !!!!
congratulations! hearing music becomes a new experience

bad:
if an album contains different artists, CoverFlow shows the cover for each artist. I imagine a behaviour similar to taking an album out of my CD- Rack.

wish:
send back new pictures to iTunes automatically.
show titles of the album, currently playing song, etc...
