TomHopperThey're all nice, but they also all offer slightly different visual cues, and different draggable areas, and different clickable areas. I find this ever so slightly annoying.
Uno fixes Apple's fragmented interface. With Uno, you get one look, the iTunes Unified look, across the whole operating system. This creates not only visual consistency, but behavioral consistency, too. The Unified look is not my favorite, but having one consistent interface, everywhere, makes up for the minor visual deficiencies.

wgscottIt would be nice if it could automatically check subdirectories in /Applications. It is kind of tedious to have to tell it where to look. Granted, if you put them in really weird locations, but it is not hard to find applications on the system, especially with mdfind.
Also, didn't there used to be a completely white theme? I installed something like that on my old laptop, and I was hoping this was it, but, alas, it is grey.

"...Just navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/ and open up "SystemVersion.plist" and change the "SystemVersion" string from 10.4.10 to 10.4.9 and save the file. Then open up UNO and install it like before. Now just change the .plist file back to the way it was..."
Before installing UNO I put iTunes temporarily in the trash and then pulled it back out after the install, thus avoiding the 'blank playlist" problem.

Choose the style to match your actual uno configuration and apply. Your library is back. Cheers

matt171For folks who are having problems installing UNO on 10.4.10, there is a solution. Create a new file called sw_vers in your home folder with the following contents:
#!/bin/bash echo "10.4.9"
Then open the Terminal an execute the following commands:
export PATH=~:$PATH chmod ./sw_vers a+x /Applications/UNO.app/Contents/MacOS/UNO
This will fool UNO into thinking that you are running 10.4.9. It seems to work fine for me.

To correct this you have to install the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Updater followed by the QuickTime 7.3 standalone installer.
(tested on an iMac G5 2.0 and a PowerBook 12" 1.33 GHz)
