Product Description:
Transmission is a fast, easy, and free multi-platform BitTorrent client.
Transmission sets initial preferences so things "Just Work", while advanced features like watch directories, bad peer blocking, and the web interface can be configured with just a few clicks. Macworld put it this way: "It's fast, it's extremely lightweight, and -- even though it's available for a variety of platforms -- it behaves just as you'd expect a Mac program to."
Transmission supports full encryption, file selection, a web-based interface, groups, peer exchange, automatic port forwarding, webseeds, watch directories, tracker editing, global and per-torrent speed limits, and more.
Its code is freely available online and is licensed under either the GNU Public License v2 or the MIT License. The development team welcomes anyone who is interested in contributing code, documentation, translations, or other help.

- Fix 1.80 announce error that caused uploads and downloads to periodically freeze
- Fix 1.80 announce timeout error that caused "no response from tracker" message
- Fix 1.80 "file not found" error message that stopped some torrents
- Fix 1.80 crash when receiving invalid request messages from peers
- Fix 1.82 error when updating the blocklist

It'll happily download torrents, then you start it up later, then it unexpectedly quits. Repeatedly.
This happens with both the beta and "release" version. I find myself having to alternate between different versions of this software. OH and THEN, since you've switched between different versions (so that it will fuçking work, y'know, the basic requirement of software), it will overwrite what your partial download!!!
Inconsistent and amateur software. I'd get more use out of it if I set fire to it.
It's the kind of software that you have to keep open and never close, in fear that it may never open again. Real confidence inspiring.
For this, I give it the TiVo equivalent of 3 thumbs down.

SKIDMARKZinstalling this was a waste of time... back to XTORRENT i go yeah it costs 40 bucks but that's cheap for never having to worry about bugs ever again
