This CD mastering and authoring tool is simple enough for you to quickly turn out demo discs, and powerful enough for you to deliver professional premasters, Red Book-standard CDs, and Disc Description Protocol (DDP) files. The professional effects in Logic Studio make it simple to master the perfect disc. WaveBurner features an intuitive layout with large waveform viewers. Advanced editing and navigation tools. Separate region, track, and plug-in panes. And now graphic parameter automation.

What's new in this version:

Resolves an issue where Mastering Notes were not saved with WaveBurner documents.
WaveBurner no longer quits unexpectedly if Auto Render is running when a disc is burned.
Changes to settings in AudioUnit plug-ins are now reliably maintained.
It is now possible to enter a 12-digit UPC/EAN code.
WaveBurner no longer sometimes quits unexpectedly if "Revert to saved" is used while a project is rendering.
Changes to automation curves edited during playback are now immediately audible.
The checkbox for the option to Save Rendering Data in the WaveBurner preferences is now accessible.
WaveBurner now reliably adapts the GUI accurately for AudioUnit plug-ins that support resizing.
The mix lane now updates immediately to reflect changes when working at or near the sample level.
Automation now reliably remains in sync with audio when projects are bounced or burned.
Exported DDP images now include the UPC/EAN code.

I really really wonder WHEN Apple will offer Waveburner X to original Emagic Waveburner owners which are stuck with a never completely finished 2.2.1 version. I am NOT going to buy Logic Pro just because of WBX and think that WB should also be included in DVD Studio Pro and/or the Final Cut Studio bundle I'm thinking to get. But anyways I'd like to get an upgrade for my Waveburner! I already wrote Apple several times and never got an answer!!!!!!

Error Message "no program to update has been found" also appears when a previous version of Waveburner is already installed in applications folder. I'm running Mac OS 10.4.2 with Logic Pro 7.1.0 and WaveBurner 1.029 (which is the latest version that came with the Logic Pro 7.1-Upgrade).

The requirements states that this update needs : "MacOsX 10.3.2".
I think Apple should also mention that you need a previous version of WaveBurner…
If you don't, then you'll only get a message stating that no program to update has been found. And as WaveBurner is only availbale with Logic, requirements should be :
"MacOsX 10.3.2 - Logic Pro - Previous version of WaveBurner".
