Product Description:

Sim Daltonism is a color blindness simulator for Mac OS X. It filters in real-time the area around the mouse pointer and displays the result -- as seen by a color blind person -- in a floating palette.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Sim Daltonism from working on some G3 processors.
  • Disabled the “zoomâ€? button to prevent full-screen maximixation of the window which, unless you have a second screen, doesn’t make much sense.
  • Clicking on the filter panel will now make appear Sim Saltonism menu bar.
  • Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

    • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
    • Mac OS X 10.3.9
    • Mac OS X 10.3
    • Mac OS X 10.2

    Additional Requirements:

    • Mac OS X 10.2.8 or higher
    • Screen color depth set to Millions

I'm colourblind, but I can see the difference as plain as day between the 'control' and the 'effected' windows. How can this truly be an accurate representation as to how a colourblind person sees things? I don't understand it...

I was told I have "color intensity blindness".
How does this work for me?
Not quite sure yet on how to focus in on one particular palette. Confusing.
