Worthwhile upgrade

I've used Oversite since 2.x, and recently upgraded to 3. For me it was well worth the upgrade. Most of the new features are in the wireframe tab, which is where I do most of my work. The new editing panel that's next to the wireframe canvas by itself is worth the upgrade cost, since it eliminates the one annoyance I'd had with the older version: model edit dialogs. The new panning and zooming, plus some new complex components, are icing on the cake.
Downloaded version 2.9.9 instead of 3.0? Try downloading again. - Version: 3.0, 7/8/2009 08:49PM PST

Just a note to anyone who downloaded version 3.0, only to find that it was in fact version 2.9.9... the correct 3.0 version has now been posted, so try downloading it again.
Great productivity tool!

I have been using it for a week in two different projects and I'm impressed. Does what it says very well. Building the wireframes and prototyping the navigation is very fast and painless.
The only drawback is that it seems a bit slow sometimes on my MacBook Pro Intel 1.83, I suppose it is because it isn't running native. I would be really glad for an Intel version, but that is a minor issue for me, I am really happy with the program.

Good program, good help

I've been using this great little program for awhile, and the more I use it, the more useful I find it. The developer is friendly and helpful as well, and has even added bits of functionality that I'd asked for!
Doesn't work on my Intel 10.4.11 - Version: 2.4.3, 4/24/2008 04:05PM PST

I have no reason to suspect anything strange afoot with my system, so I suspect OverSite has some incompabilities. The problem is screen drawing, most of the app's GUI does not draw.
Productivity, productivity, productivity!

I just upgraded from the previous version of Oversite to the latest one, and I'm excited that the one little nit that I had--that the positioning of text in HTML exports seemed a little off--has been fixed. So now, I can wholeheartedly endorse this product!
Oversite's noticeably improved my web site concepting productivity. I used to use a hodge-podge of tools to do wireframing, create visual site maps, provide annotations, etc. After finding this program, I can do it all in one fell swoop. Plus, Oversite provides so many extra features (hint: search the help tool for "versions" and "exceptions") that, taken as a whole, really cut down on redundant work that you'd otherwise have to do.
It would be nice if the developer would provide more documentation, or tutorials. But still, I found it pretty easy to pick the program with the help that is provided.

Potentially useful, but slow and un-Mac-like

This is just the kind of tool I need. Unfortunately, it seems to be painfully slow, with a bad, and very non-Mac-like user interface. Virtually nothing can be edited in-place; instead you're forced into using modal dialog boxes in a very non-WYSIWYG way. The buttons and icons have that 1980s Windows feel to them. The standard OS X font dialog is replaced by something far less friendly. Virtually nothing you try to do in the application seems to work in the way you'd expect. The help is non-standard and difficult to search.
I'd really like to like this application, and I'd really like to use it, but its interface and general sloth annoy me so much that I simply can't cope with it. I would hope for better things, but this seems to be one of those cross-platform, Java-based worst-of-all-worlds apps that are unlikely ever to feel standard or terribly usable on any platform. Ho hum. Maybe a good Mac developer out there will see that there's a market and develop something that does the same job, but does it well.

Fabulous

This program is exactly what we've been looking for. There are some user interface quirks due to being a Java application, but it's easy to get used to them. You can tell OverSite was created by a developer who wrote the program as a solution to problems they personally experience.
Changelog?... - Version: 2.3, 11/29/2007 08:04AM PST

I'm inches away from buying this, but I would like to see a changelog for this software. It seems that if they just polished a few things such as release information/changelogs, UI and other appearance aspects of the software and their website they'd be stellar!
But still, I'm really looking forward to digging into this as it seems to have great reviews.
