Upgraded from Powerbook 12" to Macbook; it no longer works, either because of Intel or USBmodem or both. A sad day, since there is nothing to take it's place.

USB-2-Serial devices & Silica - Version: 1.2, 9/19/2006 12:01PM PST

I've been using this app for sometime now and it is great, does what it says on the tin.
Works fine for one device, but more that one usb2serial device and the device selection in the preferences can only find the device manager software, rather than the subdevices, eg. /dev/tty.usbserial, /dev/tty.usbserial2.
So unfortunately i can't use it anymore. :(
Is this still being developed?

Works perfectly for me.

This works entirely as advertised on my iMac G5. I'm very happy with it.

I was wondering if there is display for long distance, and I am missing it, or it's not working for me, or if that doesn't work.
Otherwise, love it. Always running.

it never completes announcing who the caller is. only the first word of the caller's name. is there any way i can fix this since it's being done by one of the scripts that came with it?

Installed on G5 with motorola modem driver v1.3.1 but still get 4 out of 5 ID info. Also running Jon's Phone Tool for entourage dialing. Both work together well so far!!!
Can't get it to work anymore - Version: 1.2, 12/3/2005 11:30PM PST

It worked for about 2 weeks then for no obvious reason started giving me "No Caller ID Received" every time. Tried some of the troubleshooting tips listed below but no go. If something else is tying up the modem then it's oblivious to me.
99.5% Perfect

Almost perfect- the only feature I'd ask for is a silica icon in the menu bar that allows you to see recent calls... but this is a minor, minor quibble with a great (and timely!) little app.

When Silica is running, I cannot receive faxes on my internal iMac G5 modem. Silica displays caller ID OK, but the ring never gets to fax software.
Great if You don't need fax.
