Well, the new version is posted and it's a lot of cosmetic and performance increases. This is a great location to discuss the pros/cons of my software, and I am grateful for the positive feedback. I cannot check it as often as I would like, however. Please drop me a line (dstaudigel@gmail.com) with any comments, suggestions, hate mail, etc. I am pretty responsive most of the time, especially around when I release new versions. In response to the question posed in the most recent post, you can easily change the size of images (this feature is documented more fully in the read-me) by changing the numbers after the [image100x100] (or whatever it is) tag to whatever width and height numbers you want. The point of this software is to be totally customizable. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty with some HTML/CSS, you can change almost everything. If you have any comments or questions, again, please contact me directly. In the past I have made significant changes both to documentation and software to make it more useable.

CustomHTMLExport ReviewRight direction with a few pieces missing. - Version: 1.1, 2/1/2006 05:24AM PST

It usually takes me a long time to pay for shareware. I would have paid for this in a month. And it's free! Rock solid and fast. I started with version 1.01, and I'm glad to see that recalculation is faster. That'll save some time when experimenting.

Can I buy you lunch? Dinner? A pet ferret?

I've tried a few other iPhoto HTML exporters, and the one thing the were lacking was the ability to use my CSS. They all make you choose colors and stuff. This has REAL customizability (sp?). While the others have all kinds of cool features, you have to use their features; you can't turn them off or ignore them. I used to have to export, and then run batch commands in GoLive. Pain in the ass.

The only thing I would love to see is the ability to set the size of thumbnails and fullsize photos. Then ... it would be perfect.

Is there a way to do it within the plugin resources? I couldn't figger out how the sizes were defined.

Bonus item: slideshow...

I'm not a programmer; I'm barely a webauthor. I just put up a month's photos of the kids for grandma and grandpa. It's repetitive and sometimes I'll change the look of the site. This lets me change my CSS and never have to touch the galleries.

To those 164 of you that downloaded the plugin before I caught a small glitch, I apologize. If you install the software and nothing happens, you have the old archive, whose installer contains nothing. Just re-download the same archive, from my website or from here, and it should work. Should.

As always, email me with any problems you encounter! I am happy and usually pretty quick to answer mail.
