OK, I tried it again and got it to work. You have to install from the mounted disk image and put the path to user/applications/photoshop/plugins/filters. I gave it a good try and found it very lame. PhotoShop itself does a much better job with more control. Save yourself the time and stay clear of this over priced toad.

Well, I installed it. Then I opened PhotoShop and I couldn't find it anywhere. I did find a folder in Macintosh HD, so I tried opening what was in there while PS was running and it read that it was not the right type of file, so I tossed that folder. I'll have to hunt for anything else that needs to be trashed. Other "plugins" that I used in the past were somewhere in the menu. This was no where to be found. With that and the ridiculous price, I can see why this has such a low rating. A uninstaller would have been nice too or even a readme of what went where.

ColorWasher CommentaryMaybe, Maybe not - Version: 2.0c, 10/24/2005 11:57AM PST

I like to really truely restore and colorize old photo's. I like to have a lot of options and total control with multi undo's. There really isn't any applications for the mac with what I like to do. PhotoShop & PhotoDeluxe are kind of OK for that, but I don't use the OS 9 Photodeluxe anymore. I will give this a try, but everything that I try like this ends up being full of tools that only do odd things to photos that only a very few people would use. If this did do what I needed then and only then it may be worth paying for, but this is ONLY a plugin and not a standalone. 50 clams for a plugin is a lot. I judge the cost of software on what Tiger OS cost. Tiger cost 129.00 if you pay for it. I don't buy and application that costs close to my OS or more. If you make a really good app or plugin and keep the cost low, then you make more money in the long run by selling MANY more copies. The kids today want to make big money fast. I'll try it and give a review, but I don't get my hopes up anymore.
