Product Description:

FlyGesture is activated like Expose or Dashboard, bringing up a transparent window of "guides" to move your mouse through. Moving your mouse through the guides lets FlyGesture know what action or actions you want to be performed, such as closing a window or opening an application.

FlyGesture works alot like Automator. You can create a single action, or chains of actions to be invoked by the simple movements of your mouse.

and I can't figure out how it is more productive than simply going to the dock and clicking. First, you have to hit F1 on the keyboard to activate it, and then memorize all these moves with the mouse. It's a fascinating idea, but I can't figure out the benefit of it.

This is a fascinating application, and it's fun to play with. Whether it can bring a productivity increase or not is another matter, since apparently a key has to be pressed each time to activate the thing, and then the user can make a mouse gesture. The developer should probably get rid of the witty, but distracting shareware reminders, because the user needs to rethink using a mouse, the keyboard, and so on.
