Name Munger is the best of the bunch for Mac. It is a great product and is able to do the vast majority of our renaming tasks. I work in technology for a school, and we use Name Munger to batch rename many files over the course of a year, most of which are student and staff photos. There is one task that we need to do that Name Munger is unable to do. That is to strip a certain number of characters from a certain starting point in a file name. We have files that are named with a complex letter and number sequence where we need to strip out certain number of characters (which renamer can do) and all letters. I did find another software (freeware: Renamer4Mac) that does do the trick.
