Iridium ReviewGreat alternative theme! - Version: 1.9.F, 7/3/2007 02:53PM PST

Excellent piece of theme development! Works nicely with OSX 10.4.10, with no hassles! Very well done; a great replacement for Apple's Aqua default theme! Thanks!

From the pics it look's a bit to much like aqua, I thought the idea of skinning was to look different & better

Iridium Troubleshooting ReportIt's NOT the Same! - Version: 1.9.F, 12/26/2006 12:20PM PST

justspaztik_dotmac
Why can't I get the same look as the screenshots? The screenshots provided show Iridum with Max's Aqua Extreme in it too. However, when I apply Iridum, my scroll bars and menu bar widgets are not Aqua Extreme, instead they are the default Aqua look. Why would you lie about the screenshots like that, I thought I was getting Iridum+Aqua Extreme in this. What a major bummer.

just wondering if this is now abandoned? the description mentions the macopensource.com web site, but i don't see any development of it on there.

would be nice if it were updated for the latest itunes. i hate the new UI.

Iridium CommentaryWell here is the Webster definition of "lightness" - Version: 1.7.2, 2/24/2006 10:26AM PST

I think the word best applies to weight. Lightness \Light"ness\, n. [From Light not heavy.]
The state, condition, or quality, of being light or not
heavy; buoyancy; levity; fickleness; nimbleness; delicacy;
grace.
[1913 Webster]

Syn: Levity; volatility; instability; inconstancy;
unsteadiness; giddiness; flightiness; airiness; gayety;
liveliness; agility; nimbleness; sprightliness;
briskness; swiftness; ease; facility.
[1913 Webster]

Iridium CommentaryMaybe I'm wrong BUT - Version: 1.7.2, 2/15/2006 09:10AM PST

"One Look to Unite Them All! And in the Lightness, bind them!" What is lightness???? I think it should read "in the light bind them" A miniscule point but it has been bothering me for a long time. Otherwise the GUI is good and the developer is a nice guy so I hope he doesn't take this the wrong way.

Iridium Troubleshooting ReportSpinning rainbow question - Version: 1.7.1, 1/29/2006 02:42PM PST

izann
When I first installed Iridium, I used ThemeChanger. Ever since, my "spinning rainbow" has had rough edges. I'd hoped it might get fixed when I reinstalled Iridium using the stand-alone installer, but no luck. Did the ugly spinning rainbow come from ThemeChanger? Or Iridium? I like Iridium, and it has caused me no problems, but I'd like to restore Apple's spinning rainbow. I hate watching it enough when it looks good; it's almost intolerable looking bad!

Iridium ReviewStill works in 10.4.4 - Version: 1.7, 1/10/2006 03:53PM PST

William Robinson
If you update to 10.4.4 you'll need to reinstall Iradium, but there should be no problem.

If you upgrade to iTunes 6.0.2, the Smoothtunes option will not work. The iTunes window has new features which no current theme can work with. There is no danger of loosing your songs, but they do become invisable in the iTunes 6.0.2 window if you try to change the theme with current skins.
