manny khoolHowever, since version 4, if I put my Mac to sleep manually, SteerMouse won't let it wake up. I am forced to restart my computer.

Doesn't scroll correctly with Targus Mouse - Version: 4.0.1, 9/29/2009 08:06AM PST

I like the mouse, but no driver works correctly yet.
The Apple Mighty Mouse has 360 degree scrolling as doesn't the track pad, but nothing works with the Targus yet.
It can scroll up and down OR left and right, but not both. There is no diagonal scroll.
I hate the scroll ball on the Mighty Mouse and the way the right and left clicks work.
The Targus Mouse is a much better design if someone could just get the drivers working.

stoneageIt also has iPhone gliding and Hover scrolling. Apple should by it and make it part of the OS.

rskinnerI've been using a Kensington Expert Mouse, which I love. The Kensington Mouseworks software, however, destroys some functionality of Leopard and has been a thorn in my side since the release of Leopard.
Steermouse restores all the features of Leopard without the glitches of Mouseworks. My only complaint is that Steermouse doesn't handle chording of buttons. Perhaps in another version?
Works great with the Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse

qreativcomThen I found a full-sized Bluetooth mouse from Rocketfish. It's similar in appearance and size to the Mighty Mouse and is much more affordable, but unlike the Apple mouse, it has a standard scroll wheel with left and right scrolling integrated instead of a ball. The hitch? The included software does not allow you to program the scroll wheel button. I like to program my scroll wheel button with the Command-H keystroke so that I can hide windows without taking my hand off the mouse.
A search turned up this SteerMouse software. It works as a preference pane and has plenty of features to program every little aspect of your mouse's functionality. I was able to program my keystroke easily.
At twenty dollars US, it's a bit pricey for what it does for my personal needs, but it is a very comprehensive, solid, feature-rich shareware program that deserves to be taken seriously as a replacement for anyone's mouse utility.
