Product Description:

DynDNS Updater is a Mac OS X client for use with the free and paid services provided by DynDNS. Based originally on DNSUpdate by Julien Jalon, DynDNS Updater brings new features and is designed to work exclusively with services from DynDNS.

Simple and intuitive interface
Supports Custom DNS, Dynamic DNS and Static DNS

Includes configurable update daemon
Provides full event logging

What's new in this version:

Added a problem description dialog to assist users in generating a diagnostic email.
Added a timestamp to daemon log messages.
Fixed a bug where the daemon wasn't exiting in a timely fashion when OS X was in the shutdown process.
Fixed a bug where the application wouldn't run from a path with non-ASCII characters in it.
Fixed a bug where NOCHG wasn't sent to the DynDNS server for flags like MX, wildcard, etc.
Removed excess logging to help make diagnosing problems easier.
Compressed the account-host info printed in a diagnostic email to shorten the text.

1.2 doesn't work with Leopard - Version: 2.0, 1/6/2008 08:44PM PST

As of 1/6/2007 VersionTracker is still downloading 1.2 (even though it says 2.0).

You can get the 2.0 version from:

http://cdn.dyndns.com/dyndns-setup-mac.dmg

It works with Leopard...

The most recent version of this software is 2.8 (Universal for MacOS X 10.4.6 or later) and 2.7 (for MacOS X 10.3.9 or earlier). It is available at http://www.dnsupdate.org/.
