Product Description:

One Finger Snap is a Preference Pane that brings up the contextual menu whenever you click and hold down the mouse button. This means that you can do everything with a single-button mouse that you can do with a 2-button mouse.

Don't throw away that 1-button mouse.

Don't carry around a clunky mouse with your powerbook.

Don't think that you've lost a second mouse button when you switch from that other OS.

Just click and hold wherever you would normally right-click.

What's new in this version:

  • One Finger Snap is now smarter about when it will initiate a right-click. It will no longer try to initiate a right-click over the Dock, over a scroll bar, or over a menu item, for instance.
  • If you find that it is still trying to right-click at these times, then you should turn on "Access for Assistive Devices" in the Universal Access preference pane.
  • Changed the name that appears in the Preference Pane to "1 Finger Snap", to make it a little shorter so it will fit better in the Preference Pane.
  • Made One Finger Snap easier to use with third-party mice that don't use custom drivers.
  • Added drag-select then hold - drag-select a block of text, then keep the mouse button held down and a contextual menu will appear with options for the text you just selected.
  • Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

    • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
    • Mac OS X 10.3.9
    • Mac OS X 10.3

    Additional Requirements:

    • Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4
    • works much better if "Access for Assistive Devices" is turned on in the Universal Access preference pane

OK, well after using it a while, I have decided to toss it. It's a great idea, but it does not follow the same functions as the CM would normally with the 2-finger pressing on the trackpad. Too many inconsistencies. If the developer just amended this problem, he would be on a great thing.

Sometimes, the CM will appear on MouseOut, not on the hold and wait. This happens around Work '08 apps. Hope you fix that.
