Flying Earth CommentaryThe worlds a beachball ? - Version: 1.0, 7/27/2005 12:01PM PST

Lex Luthor
.

The world span about for a few seconds, I changed
some of it's preferences and then the app died.
Death by beachball - The application does not
pop-up in the dock or appear in the Force Quit menu
The only way to kill it is to launch the Activity Monitor
and quit it from there.

Very buggy and extremely annoying!

After a second attempt, it seems to be playing nicely.
But as the cloud cover is only eye candy I don't see
the point of it. The world, either spinning or bouncing
about my screen is really beautiful or fun for all of two
minutes but how about being able to change the worlds
axis or change its color as night falls and the cities
illuminates certain areas or seeing our moon orbiting this
spinning globe for our five bucks...

- Also it's badly anti-aliased on a dark/black background.

this little app is fairly useless when you stop to think about it, but that doesn't mean it's without merit. when I first opened it and then accidentally sent it winging off at a hundred miles an hour, unable to grab it with my mouse until I clicked madly all over my screen, I cursed it and made slanderous remarks. but now that I've got it blown up, more translucent, and softy wafting about my desktop, I'm only mildly annoyed. will I pay $5 for it? doubtful.
