The possibility to expand the market of this product is related to the possibility to import even by Apple Works and export to Excel.
At time, both the .slk way to save are unread by Excel, even if we can open .xls files and import them.
This is a big, big, big challenge for Mariner!
Otherwise... excel(ops..)lent and for sure far better that the old Excel that lost by decades the freshness of the good Excel 1.02 until Excel 3 (1986?), at the time when using it was a joy! (for sure the better product ever by microshit)

I've been using Calc for some time, long before 5.4 has been out and I've really enjoyed using it since it does everything I need it to and keeps me from having to open Excel. I've had good success opening all MS files I receive from co-workers from mulitple versions on PC's and Mac's.And the files I save as Excel are readable going back to them.
I've found it to be easy to learn and I like the simple layout - its a little bit retro, but its part of the charm of using a product that is pre-bloatware, and proud of it. I like the modern - I'm running Tiger, but Calc has been great for me going back to my first Power PC, some Performa crap! I digress.
Building charts are straight-forward, and its got fine graphical support. Spreadsheets can be complicated to build but I use software that allows me to get where I want to go, not where it wants me to go. Calc is proven superior in this task.
