Product Description:
Fluggel is a drop application utility for setting the type and creator of a folder of files of a particluar type and creator (and all of its subfolders) to the specified type and creator.
You can also use Fluggel to determine the type and creator of a file.
How to use: Drag one or more folders on top of the Fluggel application icon in the Finder. Fluggel immediately begins to traverse the folders and all their subfolders changing the type and creator of all files it finds with a given type and creator to the specified type and creator. (See screenshot below)
Note that an empty field corresponds to "no value" (zero). So this application can be used to:
- Add a type and creator to a set of files that has no type and creator.
- Erase the type and creator of a set of files.
To obtain a registered password you simply need to make a donation in the amount of your choice at http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html
What's new in this version:
- You can now make multiple copies of the application, configuring each independently.
- Fixed a bug on Intel Macs: the creator/type codes were not properly converted into strings and vice verse.
- This program now requires registration; a password window has been added for entering a demo or permanent password. To obtain a registered password you simply need to make a donation in the amount of your choice at http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html

Eventually I get a window which says "Drop a file, folder or volume on the application or this window to set the type and creator."
I already did the former to no avail, and the window disappears too quickly to do the latter.
The bottom line is that I have yet to see this thing actually do anything but disappear real quick on a PPC running 10.4.8.
On another note, a refresher on the concept of Donationware: The user makes a donation, IF he CHOOSES to do so. REQUIRING a donation before the user can obtain a REQUIRED registration is just plain tacky. I'm certainly not going to be donating anything until it works.

I have noticed that this developer has posted a number of programs to VT over the past few days. All of his programs are listed as "commercial", but the price is listed as "donationware". But, then we discover that the so-called donation is really a forced payment. You must make a donation in order to get a password in order to use his programs. In short, these programs are not donationware. In fact, they are not even shareware, because you can't even try before you buy. In short, his programs are in fact commercial software, no matter how inexpensive they may be. I think the developer needs to obtain a better grasp of terminology, and not try to play mind games with the potential users of his products.
