While it's not much help in keeping the screen from burning out, the effect is quite delightful. It doesn't distract while you're working on other thing, either.
Useless On 400 Mhz G3 - Should Be FREE!

While the author states that this works with Panther, like another user below, I found this SS to be useless on my G3. It runs extremely slow, and what graphics I do see, are blocky and distorted. Perhaps it would fare better on one of our faster machines.
I also agree that this idea is nothing new. The Fluid SS works in a similar fashion, and is better.
Finally, I find it ironic that this developer calls his software company "Useless Creations", and yet, he expects people to pay him money for this substandard screensaver. Granted, it undoubtedly took him some work to make this, but I agree that there are many free, high-quality screensavers around these days for OSX. Adding the nags to this SS just subtracts from it even more.
I suggest that the author improve this SS, and then give it away to the OSX community.

Great, but not a new idea

I like this screen saver, but it's very similar to the great - FREE - "Fluid" screen saver that came out some time ago. I'll pay for software I find useful but agree with the sentiments of others - I won't pay for a screen saver when there are so many good free ones out there. That aside - great work by the developer.
Great

I have a Dual 500Mhz that runs just great with this saver. And have no slow downs in Tiger at all. As for the price, I agree that there are a lot of awesome free screen savers so I don't really see the logic in buying even one as nice as this.
I realize the author only guaranteed compatability with 10.3 - Version: 1.0, 7/22/2005 06:59PM PST

Works ok under 10.4.2 for me, however at max resolution setting it runs extremely slowly on my G5 dual processor machine. I shouldn't have to have a better machine than this to max the potential of a screen saver.
Also, I like this - but with so many amazingly good free screen savers available I find it hard to justify spending even $5 for what is essentially "useless software"

You download a demo which claims to run on 10.3 (Panther, not Tiger), but implementation is so poor the screen is indecipherable, except for a possible reference to "uselesssoftware.com" (??). Nothing but horizontal lines on a black screen. Curiously, the preview in the Apple desktop setting dialogs is correct.
