Just updated for 10.5.3

The new version on the web page posted today (but with the same version number) now works with OS X 10.5.3. It's a sweet little application, with terrific support by the author.
Five Stars

I use it to combine eight iCal personnel calendars into one and publish it on my web site for my co-workers to reference. On occasion, I've had to email the author about correcting a dinky formatting issue, and he's not only responded quickly, but managed to fix the problem, too. Since iCal2Web interacts with the included HTML files, you can tweak them to fit your specific needs if you have the inclination and expertise. At $8, it's a bargain for me, and I'm sure many can push the capabilities of the product far beyond the way that I'm using it.
Awesome!

Having encountered several bugs in the 2.3.x release, I contacted Ben Spink offline and together we worked to address each and every one. And I must say, his approach and responsiveness were phenomenal. On this alone, I think an $8 donation is worth it.
I have been a fan of web-based calendars for a number of years, but creating and managing one can be a cumbersome task. Not to mention having to adjust for all the vagaries in a calendar (try it some time!)...
iCal2Web is just the ticket. Use it to create HTML pages of your iCal calendars -- either separately or combined. And Ben is right when he says the new version is faster. On my G4 1.67 PowerBook, it takes approximately 10 seconds to build a one-month HTML page containing three calendars with varying degrees of data.
This is a solid five-star product. Not only does it do what it claims to, without a lot of frills and overhead, but it does it fast, has a variety of user-adjustable settings, and its author is the model of responsiveness.
This was eight dollars (a measly sum) well spent!

Didn't want to spam VT, but I fixed a bug in 2.5 and released 2.5.1 on my website. www.ical2web.com.

Fixed issues listed here again...:) - Version: 2.2, 2/25/2006 10:34AM PST

iCal2Web 2.3
I fixed the issue with the end date stopping one day to early, I now set the file type so that it will open with Safari, I fixed issues with calendars that had no events during the date range specified, and several new features and other bug fixes.
If you run into a specific issue, let me know. You will get faster responses if you email me directly as I don't always check in here for comments. ben@ical2web.com
As always, I'll do my best to take care of bugs anyone runs into.

Playing some more, here is what I discovered:
I started by using NO "settings.txt" file. Since I don't have a "home" calendar, the program complained, but then created a new, blank settings.txt file. I used this one for the remainder of my testing, adding and modifying entries per the original file I had saved elsewhere.
The "invalid range" error only occurs when using multiple calendars. Don't ask me why. Pointing to a single calendar works. Even a calendar with embedded spaces and/or "special" characters (ampersand). My guess is the array parsing function using the comma is somehow going awry.
The StartDate works OK, but the EndDate function is quirky. When I use a StartDate of 02/01/2006 and an EndDate of 03/01/2006, I get a single, blank "week" of March (March 1 occurs on Wednesday this year). However, when I used an EndDate of 02/28/2006, the page generated only contains the month of February -- up to the 27th!
The file type of the generated HTML page is "SimpleText." Excuse me? Even though this still causes TextEdit to open under OS X, isn't this a bit awkward? Not a gripe, just an observation.
We're getting close. Now, if only the multiple calendars problem can be resolved...

Nope. Still get 'invalid range' twice - Version: 2.2, 2/22/2006 11:59AM PST

No matter how I configure the settings.txt file (I don't have a "home" calendar, otherwise I have tried using it in vanilla form), the scripts chokes twice during its execution with an "Invalid Range" error.
Still needs work...

All previous issues now fixed in iCal2Web 2.2. - Version: 2.1, 2/22/2006 10:37AM PST

All previous issues mentioned below have been fixed in iCal2Web 2.2. One issue was with blank values in the settings file, the other was if you edited the settings file with a text editor that changed the line endings. Both of those issues have however been resolved. Feel free to email me the developer directly ben@ical2web.com if you do run into an issue. I am very responsive and ahve helped anyone who has emailed me.
Thanks,
Ben

Good idea, if it can be made to work.
