Product Description:

Symphonic is your text based control to iTunes.

Why would you want this, you ask? For one simple reason: it's the most handy thing ever. Instant play. It's not ubiquitous search widget, it doesn't kick you out of dashboard, it just plays the song you want and it's almost never wrong. Interested?

There are many things that you just can't do with other iTunes controllers. There are many ways to search, and even more commands that will give you the control you need from iTunes quickly. Right from Dashboard.

What's new in this version:

This is quick maintenance update to Symphonic. Here’s what's new:
  • New (and working) update system. It’s now much more obvious when there is an update.
  • Links to user manual fixed
  • Cleaned up some code

It appears to be a version checking routine that is checking to see if it's the latest version of itself... although I didn't follow EVERY LINE of the program.

Sorry, but I can no longer trust this widget. After installing Symphonic 1.1, Little Snitch detected a program named "curl" (as in "See" URL?). That's a curious name for a widget that is suppose to be working in conjuction with iTunes, which is already on my machine, and NOT on my browser. I'm sorry, but that makes me VERY suspicious. Maybe someone with more programming background can tell us what this "curl" application does. Symphonic 1.1 just got removed from my machines.
