Product Description:

QtiPlot - is a graphing and analysis software for scientists and engineers. Some of its features: 2D and 3D data plotting, ASCII-Import, powerful and versatile spreadsheets and calculations in column-logic, non-linear y=f(x) curve fitting and estimation of statistical errors of the fit-parameters.

What's new in this version:

improved the behaviour of the Project Explorer and of the Result Log tools using dock windows;
added the possibility to disable the autoscaling in 2D plots;
added drag-and-drop support for opening ASCII, image and project files;
changed the behaviour of QtiPlot when importing single ASCII files: if a table window is active, the file is loaded into it, if not a new table is created;
tables created as a result of a fit operation are by default hidden;
Fixed bugs in non-linear fit dialog, the exporting of the font sizes to EPS and bug in errors reporting after performing a polynomial fit.
Project files with version number lower than 0.4 are not supported any more in this new release. If you still have some old files left you must first open them with a lower version of QtiPlot, in order to convert them.

from the developers site requires providing your email address but then rejects my e-mail address as "Bad" (which it isn't).

Not impressed.

I have been used Origin under Windows for years until two years ago I converted to Mac OSX. It has been a headache to find a graphing tool under Mac that is both easy to use and powerful, like Origin. Then I find this one is a potential solution for me, as the author tries to mimic Origin for Mac.
So far the only problem for me is that it does not export EPS file correctly, as well as a few glitches. But I'm confident the author will improve the functionality as it turns to version 1.0.
