I have been using SlipBox since early October and am more and more pleased by it. And Spotlight seems to have no problem with it either. I use it for simple things like iTunes receipts, complicated projects involving information pulled from a lot of different web sites, almost all the info I want to store somewhere and be able to find again. Since I can define Type (i.e., Receipt) and Source (i.e, iTunes, VersionTracker) and add whatever keywords seem crucial to a search or memory jog, I can work a lot faster and not have to wonder whether I can find an item later. And SlipBox is not a CPU drain nor a memory hog. It is a good program that does what it says it will.

been using 0.7.1 for a little while and finding it great way to organise
and search my usually disorganised notes.
I use shift-cmd-M (paste selection into a new slip) and using spotlight to search. Slipbox does more than this, but this is the feature that really saves me a lot of time.
If you havent tried this app and want something quick then give it a go.
Spotlight seemed to have stopped working for me on 0.7.2 though? - reverted back to 0.7.1 and I'm happy again.

Downloads, installs, runs (or should I say "launches"?). Otherwise, it just sits there doing nothing. Tried every command that wasn't greyed out, and absolutely nothing happened (OS X 10.3.9).

This might turn out to be the app I was looking for. Desktop wiki's and notebook apps all require too much organising action from the user. This app makes it possible to jot down ideas without thinking too much about categories, merely adding a few keywords, and to discover, at a later point in time, real connections between snippets.
SlipBox is not pretty, unfortunately, and it's not just the brushed metal that's to blame. It looks clunky. Also, I'd like to be able to jump fields using tabs.
But those are minor things. I think I'll be using this app, that I discovered only today, for a long time.

Sorry, but I cannot get version 0.3.1 to launch either. It still crashes. This is a shame as it seems a real great idea.
