Product Description:

ampsig is a PHP script that generates an image to display select information about your computer. A partial list of possibilities:

current playing song or last played song
information about said song
your computer's uptime
viewer's ip address

ampsig supports "schemes" which allow it to take various colors and forms, enabling you to configure its appearance to your heart's desire (take a look at the examples on the ampsig screenshots page).

macsig is an AppleScript Studio application that communicates with ampsig, feeding it the information to display. It primarily monitors and reports changes in iTunes and optionally sends information about how long your computer has been running.

iTunes notification support: less polling, faster response to status or song changes
"Open macsig at login" option
"Check for Update" menu item
Improved reliability when editing preferences while simultaneously updating ampsig
Fixed bug that would report incorrect uptime
Fixed bug that would prevent updating after the preferences window was closed
Fixed bug that wouldn't save changes to the password
Authentication error alert only appears once per username/password/url combination
