We are running 20 different HansaWorld systems on one server and have no stability issues. Clients log in from Sweden and Norway.

My company also supports customers with 20+ users on Hansaworld and we have no problems concerning stability.

HansaWorld Enterprise ReviewTrouble with Leopard Server / Hansa Terminal server - Version: 5.2, 11/9/2007 11:41AM PST

I have been using Hansaworld since 1996. The idea behind the software is good, but unfortunately it does not give the stable enviroment needed for a company that do buisness every day. This time the software is not working on our leopard server in Terminal mode (which means an end of day report takes 50 miniutes rather than the standard 20 minutes. We tried to use Hansa for POS and web the latest years. My best advice to anyone, is never try to use Hansa webshop. Secound is, look around really good before you start up what seams to be an affordable solution, because it´s not. Hansa shares basicly no information about their software (and often they do not know much about it themselves either). You end up paying a lot of "consultant time" that is often useless. It´s expencive, but may be great for uses that do not need internetsales, pos sales and upgrades. I am still using Hansa today and would not recommend it to anybody. It may be better the day they take their existing customers seriously, and are honest about what they can do and cannot do. Sorry Hansa, I am really fed up.

HansaWorld Enterprise ReviewCrash-happy and seriously lacking - Version: 5.2, 10/22/2007 02:10AM PST

We were very interested in Hansaworld for our online retail company as it appeared to cover all the things we wanted out of an ERP system so we did some serious testing. Overall we found the system seriously lacking in required business functionality. Both the client and server software were very crash-happy... not what you want as the backend to your business! The system itself is very awkward and looks like something from System 6 days. There was going to be an obvious cost involved in getting staff trained on using such a non-intuative and backwards system.
The most serious concern for us was that the sales people in Australia were telling us that it works fine with our local tax system (GST) when in fact our evaluating showed that it doesn't. It may be suitable for other countries but in Australia it's not fully compatible with our tax system which would cause major legal problems. Their sales people didn't seem to be able to comprehend what was required by law in Australia, nor did they seem interested. For the exorbitant price I expected a lot more.
I asked about the software at my local AppleCentre, where I know and trust the owner, and he told me that the Australian company has already been in legal trouble for providing a systems not suitable for Australia and that their overall reputation was very bad in the industry. Hardly a glowing review :( We're still looking for a good Mac based system.
