Serene Screensaver/My Living Desktop is Sweet!

I purchased and installed My Living Desktop (then called Serene Screensaver) the first day I bought my iMac (November 2007, I believe). It is absolutely the best "Desktop" I have ever seen or used, Apple, or otherwise. In fact, when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, the first software I purchased was the upgrade to My Living Desktop. It is even better than my previous version! More scenes, more sounds and upgraded features. The folks at mylivingdesktop.com provided excellent customer service, as well (something you very often don't get with most software vendors). I would definitely recommend anyone with a Mac purchase this application! I promise, you will not be disappointed. I am certainly not. Thanks!

I have used My Living Desktop since Serene Saver was first released to provide a constant “serene” background with soothing sound that is ideal for my creative work. The developer’s eager enthusiasm to provide support should be exemplary to the big guy publishing houses that are so unaccessible in so many ways (I won’t name any names, nor do I really need to).
While I liked the program’s original name, Serene Saver, the new brand name probably more accurately describes its function. After all, some users may prefer scenes that are not necessarily serene.
One of these days, I’m going to offer the developer a multimedia presentation of my own for the good of the cause” in case he may want to distribute it.

Have used the v.2 for a while on my macbook. Upgraded to v.3, along wiht placing it on a new imac 24".
Impressive desktop and screen saver, when 'blowed up' to 24" ;-)
Had a couple of questions about apparently missing download of extra scenes. Developer followed up very quickly, and very friendly.
Recommended -- creates a creative and relaxing touch to the workplace!

Screen saver disappears after 15 minutes??

After numerous technical discussions with the manufacturer - they could not solve the screen saver disappearing after 15 minutes (just quits.) Not energy saver related. They promptly refunded my money, though.
Doesn't happen with Marine Aquarium 2.6, G-Force, etc.

I've used Serene saver for some time and love it. It just keeps getting better and better.
With all of the crazy things going on in our world, Serene saver really helps me relax while I'm doing my daily computing. It's free to try and worth the experiment.

Really neat graphics and sounds, can adjust them to your liking, but just a little steep at $50 and it slowed down my system a little bit (1.8GHz iMac G5 with 1.5GB RAM).
If you've got a faster system and dollars to spare I would definitely pay for it.

I bought Serene Saver Pro and want to say its really amazing. What an incredible difference it makes. I find it very relaxing and I also like that you can make it tell your when it is time for a break.
but try the demo and see if you like it.

Yes, to use Serene Saver Pro in 10.5.3, you need the latest update which fixes a bug that was introduced in this new version of OS X.
