roro01: ResizeIt and Drag-N-Scale take different approaches to resizing. The main feature of Drag-N-Scale is visual resizing. You don't have to enter any width or height numbers, just resize the window. You don't need to worry about the email feature. There is no fishing going on here although I understand your concern. A future version of Drag-N-Scale will automate this process and use your default mail application.
Avoid this application

ResizeIt 2.0.1 size is only 296 KB and it has more features, e.g. saving in different formats, than this application the size of which is about 8 MB. I also didn't like the email feature which require you to put in your mail server details, email address and your password - why that? The email button should simply open your default email application. Something is fishy here.
Simple and Elegant

Works very nicely; bare-bones interface gets the job done seamlessly. Resulting files stay associated with their default program, not this utility. eMail engine for sending worked first try. Resulting message has a header that indicates a "RealBasic SMTP Demo", not sure what's up with that, but the message came thru cleanly with nice, compact attachments.
I'm pleased to add this one to my arsenal.
