It seems this developer has disappeared. http://www.joeashear.com/ requires a password and the rest of his links are now returning errors. :-(
Wow - quite an improvement!

I have to admit, with the new features in version 2.0, this now is quite a useful little widget. Indeed it is better than the "headlines-only" view of the dealmac web page itself, mainly because of the disclosure triangles that let me quickly see some of the details of a deal (especially whether or not it involves rebates - I hate rebates!) Something that would make this the widget to kill all widgets, though, would be the option to *block* all deals that contain keywords, for example, "rebate"! Preferably this would search not only the title, but the content of the deal. In any case this is quite nice as it stands. Another improvement would be to make the title go to the article as it does now, but make the disclosure triangle content emulate the web page rather than also server as a link to the dealmac article, such that if there is a link in the article I can click it, without having to go to dealmac at all!

... what the point of Dashboard/Konfabulator is? You can use the actual web page quickly and easily, or you can use this widget and live with obnoxious limitations such as the inability to resize the window, lack of scroll arrows, lack of scroll wheel support, and just end up at the web page anyway once you click a listing. Huh?
