You call a window floating on precious desktop space unobtrusive? Create an app that runs in the menu bar, now THAT'S unobtrusive. Poor app, needs work.

I've used Mail Watcher for a long time now. On OS 9 it was always running on my computer. For $20, however, the program does very little compared to other programs in the market today. Mail Toolbox -also by Malia Software- seems like a better choice.
For what it is, this is a very good program. I like the fact that it's very unobtrusive, and that the updates have been free of charge. If I were to buy a program like this one today, I would probably choose a different one. $20 is too much for this one. I haven't used Mail Watcher since I got POPMonitor a while ago. I haven't tried mail Toolbox yet, but that also seems like a great alternative.
Still, I like Mail Watcher for what it is. Simple and functional.

lots of nice features and it actually works now too. but the gui is terrible. unattractive, and un-mac like. i'm giving 2 stars because i hope the developer will learn how to improve the gui and overall look and user-friendliness of it. There is still need for something like this, even though mailticker works very nicely.
