Product Description:
Laserlight presents a window to type in your Spotlight search string and then puts that string directly into the Spotlight search field, bypassing the slow, as-you-type search method normally employed. Optionally you can search on keywords/names only instead of all content, and may restrict the search by kind and/or date. Laserlight is faster, better Spotlight.
What's new in this version:
- New, more compact, yet more readable interface
- Added "Fonts" to the kind/type menu
- Localized for the French language by Henri Fersing, Ouseman Sy and Ariel Dennis
- Kind and Date menus now work with most OS X languages: English, Français, Suomi, Svenska, Nederlands, Português, Italiano, Deutsch, Español, Dansk and Norsk
- Changed default key-in delay (again) to 0.75 seconds
- Other, minor improvements to the script

Note from the developer: I would like to translate Laserlight into more languages (currently it's localized for English and French), but I need translation help to do it. Great supplement to Spotlight. Why didn't Apple include something like this from the start? Makes narrower searches much easier than trying to remember and type Spotlight syntax. Works without a hitch on my G5 and 10.4.4. I parked it in the dock for quick access. The separate keyword search feature also is nice if you have added keywords to files. Laserlight is a must have for anyone who needs to search a crowded hard drive.

Can't try this application because it locks up on my G4 (forced to Force Quit it) and simply keeps relaunching System Preferences complaining about shortcuts not being enabled (but they are!)..
I see this bug isn't new as it was in a previous comment.
