Product Description:

This widget enables the Dashboard Development mode for the current user. Development Mode (a.k.a devmode) allows widgets to move out of the dashboad layer and onto the desktop layer.
 
According to Apple's Developer Connection, "Viewing output, making changes, and reloading will be a much smoother process with your widget permanently visible."

It's just a tiny little thing and I don't suppose it does that much, but it keeps you from having to go into the terminal and type anything if you want to put a widget on your desktop. Works like a charm. Turn it on and off to do the widget drag thing, and that's all she wrote. That's good enough for me.
