The installation procedure defined did not add it to the iMovie HD application — ir was necessary to "Add" the plug-in using the Get Info window and Plug-ins menu therein. Once this was accomplished, the demo had a watermark saying "Previow not possible". When piStabilize rendering was approved, it turned the video clip to a black frame, though the audio indicated that iMovie application was running through the timeline.
Best to wait for an updated version that identifies compatibility with Tiger and iMovie HD version 5.0 and higher.
