Product Description:

Once and for clean up all your MP3 files. idTunes goes thru your entire collection of MP3's using song fingerprint matching and enters all the correct tags (id3 tags are the fields that list the artist, title, track, genre, etc.). Now instead of 'Unknown' or 'Track 7' idTunes uses a variety of techniques to make sure that the correct Title is there, the correct Artist is there, etc. idTunes also cleans up your music collection by helping you find duplicate files, by renaming files using one naming convention so that you can find music when you need to. idTunes performs its song recognition on music by sampling and checking the sample against our web database of 3.5 million songs.

What's new in this version:

Hooked "User Manual" and "User License" menu items.
UI improvements. (Better toolbar and icons).
Lyrics dialog with an ability to look for lyrics on the net.
Optimized speed of MP3 importer (10-20 song/sec on my machine).
Fixed script: location of idTunes.app is unimportant anymore; fixed a bug that would randomly prevent songs from being added into a queue (when idTunes is launched from the script).

Very clean and pro inteface. Application rarely crashes. It stalls with some few files with reporting "Matching fingerprint...". After a long delay I click Stop and retry the lookup and it succeeds immediately.

But, the most important thing is: While editing missing tags manually, I cannot copy any text from File Name. to be pasted into the Title or the Artist field. :(

Nice idea, and I guess it works if your collection is reasonably mainstream. but then, if that's the case, you probably know what most of your tracks are anyway. In my case, 20 salsa tracks, idTunes identified only 4, all of which appeared on collections (Best of, Vol.3 etc.). Still, better hit rate than ieatbrainz.
