Cog CommentaryGreat app - Version: 0.07, 2/11/2009 02:14AM PST

I had no problem using this app, it play .flac as well as mp3, in a simple drag & drop. Then lately I used Cog at the office and I had a display bug on the list tracks (the list is empty, but I can still play the tracks). I think a good design will make this app rocks. (If you need a skin I'm your man, I would love to help this project)

Thanks for it.

Cog ReviewGetting Better - Version: 0.06, 8/29/2007 06:40AM PST

Great audio player that continues to get better. I love the flexibility and the new features in the new version. I don't know why but it seems that the audio gets really distorted once I adjust the volume slider to more than about 80%, I don't have this problem with other players. I was having a problem with Cog crashing at startup after moving audio files in the Finder from where they were before. Checked the developer's site and found the solution in the forum (which was to download the nightly build), so if you have any problems make sure you check there as the developer is really helpful.

Sorry, I should probably have waited before posting so many comments. But having now played with this awhile, I'd like to mention two very nice features I didn't immediately recognize. First, it provides gapless playback. Second, it allows system-wide hotkeys. Both are features I have not found in any other iTunes alternatives. You should give this program a try.
