Simple but great addition to my desktop - Apple should buy this and include it in iCal!

DateLine CommentaryNeeds right-click preference pop-up - Version: 0.4, 5/11/2009 08:56AM PST

Love this app! The only problem with it is that I use the "hide dock icon" feature in the preferences - but if you do that, you have no way to access the preferences unless you quit the app with Activity Monitor and throw away the .plist file in your preferences folder.

There really needs to be a way to "access" the application preferences when you have the dock icon hidden - perhaps by right-clicking on the month on the desktop.

DateLine CommentaryProblem / enhancement requests / usage tips - Version: 0.4, 5/9/2009 10:29AM PST

Great little app. I really like the convenience factor. Making the calender visible all the time is a great time saver.

Problem:
I'm having one problem with the application. When I double-click on a date, nothing happens at all. I've tried clicking in various places - above the line, below the line, on the number, on the letter, on the month/year tab, on the dot... Double clicking doesn't launch or bring iCal to the foreground when it's already running (Running Mac OS 10.5.6 on a Dual 1.8GHz PowerPC G5 w/2.5GB of RAM).

Here's a few improvement/enhancement requests/recommendations:
- Add a preference to adjust the transparency (I'd like to make it dimmer).
- Sometimes it gets buried under all the other apps I'm running. I would like it to always be above all the inactive apps. It should only become the active app when click, but it should always stay one app below the active app.

Usage tips:
- In the Expose' & Spaces preference pane, add an Application Assignment where the assigned space is 'Every Space' that way you never have to hunt for it.
- In the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane, assign a Keyboard Shortcut to instantly launch the application. If it's already running, this shortcut will make the application active, bringing it to the foreground.
