the author of this product I feel qualified to be the "arbiter of comments" - MacZoop is simply not comparable with RealBASIC, but may be compared with other C++ frameworks. If you have a problem with that, please contact me in private.
Excellent small framework…

by a very responsive developer. MacZOOP has been around for a long time. It's been refined, tested, and extended by many contributors. This is a product for serious developers who appreciate the powerful combination of C++ and Carbon. REALbasic is good for rapid prototyping, but you won't get the same level of control and power that MacZOOP provides. MacZOOP is not a development environment. It is a framework. If you're interested in becoming a serious C++ programmer, studying MacZOOP provides excellent insights into how class suites work. If you're interested in learning Carbon MacZOOP actually makes better documentation than most - if not all - books on Carbon. A true six-star product in its niche.

this product because I haven't tried it--yet. But I will say I think it inappropriate to compare freeware with what purports to be a full-featured commercial product.
