... and pricer than my mobile!
UK pricing, according to my sums, is thus: £16.45 (£13.99 + VAT) for 500 credits (that's fewer than 167 messages to most destinations) is nearly 10p per message - SendSMS widget costs around 6p per message ...
Not much good to me at these prices

I had not used this little app before, but I am impressed with it so far. If you are an SMS junkie, you'd be crazy to pass it up. I am not especially perturbed about having to buy credits... you pay for SMS sent from your phone, why expect to get them free over the net? The app itself is free, and you get 10 credits to start you off. Costwise, slightly more expensive for me to send within Australia but that may well be balanced by the efficiency of being able to send from the desktop instead of fiddling with a phone keypad, and to send internationally, very much cheaper. I have not yet discovered if the credits expire but my impression at this stage is that they do not and this is a Very Good thing. Excellent product.

Google is so fast you phone will be beeping when you are releasing the return key or releasing the mouse button.
