Some of them don't work, others are screwed up.
Still works with Intel Macs in OS 10.5.6!

It's a very nice widget, but I agree with most of the criticisms here, especially that it doesn't clearly and obviously show networks that are open. That's a pretty big problem because, after showing my own network broadcast strength, its most important function for me is searching for open, unprotected networks when I'm out on the road with my MacBook. It could use an update.

1st of all; nice app.. use it regularly.
2nd; but not handy to work with when searching for OPEN networks!
it's not clear in one glance wich networks are open. i dont want to be searching a list for an empty field, that changes regularly.. not logic
just missing a clear icon at the begin of each line of every network, wich is green or red / open or closed..
something like that would be perfect.

I use this widget all the time for troubleshooting. I install it on every computer I work with (about 5). It has, IMHO, a nice clean interface with color-coding of the signal strength. I would like, however, an estimate of what throughtput is in tandem with the signal strength number I don't feel is inherently meaningful.
I would pay $5-$15 for this widget, and I don't like to pay. :)

Works fine with Leopard for me

Funny new interface, but for some reason this new version is not working for me. It freezes showing "is currently loading...". Good widget anyway, I come back to the old version.

I used the 1.2 widget for seeing what the throughput is on my wireless connection. Unfortunately this seems to be missing from the new beta. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Otherwise this is a great and handy little widget.
great app...

but i miss the black widget option (as pictured).
and not sure the layout is better (as opposed to the columns, ie strength, channel, etc...
still, a really useful widget, a freebie, and...is finding more networks than previous version.

Unlike a few other airport monitors I've tried, this works fine on my Intel iMac. Up and running and useful in a few seconds.
Nice one, in a crowded field

I only use these sniffers occasionally for troubleshooting, so if it is a memory hog (and I have more than I use) it doesn't matter much. Air Traffic Control is clean yet provides an actual number (not a meter) for connection strength *and* currently negotiated connection speed. It's also easy on the eyes with graphics and color; this is kind of a silly point BUT if you're using the dashboard at all you probably have a weakness for eye candy. Also good are MacStumbler, AP Grapher (real time graph), Airport Radar, and for Apple stations, Apple's "airport management utility".
