I just installed and used this app, and it appears to work fine on OS X 10.4.7. Hard to tell how well files are actually erased.
VERY simple interface, and will make either 1, 7 or 35 passes. I just wish it would stay open until I close it. After deletion, the app closes and I must restart it to delete more files.
The great thing is, you don't even need to open iShred to use it: Just drag your files onto iShred's icon and it starts immediately. I added it to my Dock, so it's very handy. Works fast too.
