Xyle scope Reviewexcellent app for tracking issues with flaky browsers - Version: 1.1.8, 7/13/2007 02:33AM PST

I don't use the application all the time but the unique ability of it to display the div you are working but also the margin area is invaluable. when you have to update an old version of a website done before anyone with any real depth of CSS skills you have to hack things about... this helps iron out the creases in browsers that don't follow the box model rules (and it is not only IE).

I recommend this software to any developer and you will quickly recoup the expense of the software in the time saved in head scratching.

when all else fails and the brain is melting throw it into XYLE to see what is what.

and as to the information that is passed back the developer... I'm not sure how they will hack into my bank account with my RAM details.

Like norliss, I had never heard of this application, and stumbled across it quite by accident... If you create web pages at all, particularly if you do any css work this app is for you. It is well designed, with a very nice interface, which displays a wealth of information in a logical and understandable way.

Xyle scope ReviewSuperbly innovative tool - Version: 1.1.6, 3/31/2006 08:10AM PST

Although I've been coding/designing sites for over 18 months and was already familiar with BBEdit, CSSEdit etc yet to my shame I'd not heard about this app until very recently.

I won't quote chapter and verse over what it's about (you can read that elsewhere) suffice to say it's an excellent application and is well worth the $20 license fee. As great as it is, it isn't the "full package" in as much as you will still need an editor for your html & css, however the developer seems keen to take it a long way and I've no doubt he will.

What is especially pleasing is the great support offered. I e-mailed the developer a few times before becoming a paying customer and the replies were swift, curteous and detailed. Mr MacRabbit could learn a lot from this guy!

Three more words: buy it now!

Xyle scope Troubleshooting ReportNo mountable filesystem in disk image? - Version: 1.1.6, 2/11/2006 07:25AM PST

I'm trying the disk image for 1.1.6, apparently created Feb 7 '06, and getting that error from various disk mounters I'm trying. Anybody else have that problem?

This is really great.

It does the things I mostly use in the Firefox web dev toolbar, and so much more besides.

Xyle scope is brilliantly conceived and implemented and, so far as I know, unique. Anyone working with CSS will benefit from it.

Xyle scope ReviewCrucial software! - Version: 1.1.5, 12/19/2005 01:18PM PST

As a student learning (X)HTML & CSS etc, I am forever looking for little tools that not only make life easier but also help me learn. Xyle Scope is one for those tools.
It really is like an X-ray machine for websites. Gives an indepth look at how other websites are put together and I would imagine this would be just as useful to a professional coder as it is to someone at a beginner/intermediate level (ME!)
As far as I know, nothing else like this exists. Unique, fun and insightful. Essential! (and inexpensive!)
BRILLIANT! :-))
