Product Description:

Chirp is a group project task management & collaboration software tool. It helps you keep your finger on work being done by teammates in one or many projects. Enter task assignments big and small, then use the dashboard to identify trouble areas, or create reports to provide to your managers.

Chirp automatically synchronizes project information, task assignments and status updates between everyone on your team using the Plum Canary sync service. As you assign tasks in a project to new users, they automatically get added to the project team list, and immediately gain visibility into all team information.

Unlike web-based project management systems, which can't be used when you are not connected to the Internet, Chirp maintains a copy of all project and task information on your computer. Chirp will automatically update your entire project team with the changes once you get connected again.

Chirp is fully cross-platform, working identically on Windows and Mac, so everyone on your team can be fully integrated.

And you can try before you buy. Chirp is available in a 30-day trial for you and your team to use for free so you can get better at managing people, and meeting deadlines -- using Chirp.

What's new in this version:

This release provides changes in two areas: performance, and minimizing on Windows.

Features:

  • Performance improvement: Display of large numbers of tasks in the main window Task Table should now be significantly faster. This will, as a side effect, speed up the startup time for users with large numbers of tasks to display (e.g. > 500).
  • Performance improvement: During sync, if a project doesn't have any changes to be synced, the project name is no longer briefly displayed in the status line as Chirp is checking all projects during a sync.
  • Feature: Chirp now offers two ways to minimize on Windows: Minimize to Task Bar (traditional method for Chirp), or minimize to Windows Tray. The user is prompted the first time to obtain user preference, which can later be changed again in the Preferences dialog.
  • Feature: Reduced default font size in reports to 10pt, and changed page dimensions to be U.S. letter.
  • Feature: Added an Are you sure... dialog when writing a report to a pre-existing filename.

Bugfixes:

  • RYG indicator count no longer cuts off (high-order) digits for large numbers
  • Nextint upper bound exception fixed
  • Chirp icon appears no longer appears twice in dock after launch (OS X)
  • Project name now shown correctly when using the "New Task" from Task edit window
  • Fewer functions disabled when license key expires
  • Chirp no longer fails to exit properly in a specific case
  • Apparent infinite recursion resulting in stack overflow resolved
  • Chirp icon now bounces correctly in OS X dock while launching
  • Exception when printing a report to PDF (resolved)
  • Some tasks marked yellow when they should not be (resolved)
  • Exception when printing a report to RTF (resolved)

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9
